Nigerian Hip Hop is one of the biggest in the world even though it has not been lively as it used to be in the early 2000s to 2014. In the prime days of Modenine, Ruggedman, Sinzu, Freestyle, Eldee, Eedris, Naeto C, Terry Da Rapman, Vector and the Chocolate City crew - M.I, Ice prince, Jesse Jagz etc, Nigerian Hip Hop was a force to reckon with. The Music from rappers was widely accepted. Fast forward to the present, Nigerian Hip Hop is struggling, rappers are switching to singers. Some dudes are however still holding it down, they still churn out quality Hip Hop music. Let take a look at the hottest Nigerian Rappers in 2020.

10. Falz 
Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz or Falz The Bahd Guy is a lawyer turned rapper. He dropped his album, Moral Instruction, a very conscious album which used music as a weapon of change to speak against societal vices and the ills of the government. 
The album won him Headies Best Rap Album 2019 and also Best Rap song 2019. He recently dropped a single featuring top Nigerian-UK act Ms Banks 'Bop Daddy'. The song is doing well on the music charts. He is number ten on the hottest rappers list. 

9. Ladipoe 
Oladipo Eso popularly known as Ladipoe or Pod is signed to Mavins Records.
Ladipoe is known for rapping like he is just talking. He is a very intelligent rapper. He was lit all 2019 and is still on in 2020 with singles like Providence, Jaiye, Lemme know, and recently a track with Simi, Know You which is currently doing well on the music charts in Nigeria. Ladipoe sits on number nine on the list of hottest rappers in 2020. 

8. Ycee 
Oludemilade Martin popularly known as Ycee rose to prominence after releasing 'Jagaban'. Olamide later jumped on Jagaban remix. Ycee has since been dishing out good music like Juice, Omo Alhaji, I wish, Balance, Say Bye Bye etc. He dropped his debut album in 2019, 'YceevsZaheer' a mix of his rapping self and his singing self. It housed hip hop records like Man ft. Phyno, Mo Sallah etc. 
 Ycee is the number eight hottest rapper in Nigeria right now. 

7. Olamide 
Olamide Adedeji popularly known as Olamide or Olamide Badoo is number seven on the list. His E.P '999' got him on the list. It was very hip hop mannered in Trap sound. It featured Phyno, Jackmillz, Cheque and more. It is one of the most streamed Hip Hop project in the country right now. 

6. Dremo 
Femi Raymond popularly known as Dremo is signed to Davido's record label, DMW. Dremo's style of rapping is amazing. He comfortably switches modes and languages when he raps. 
He is known for his mind blowing word play and heavy metaphors. He got in a feud with fellow rapper, Davolee. Davolee dropped a song Giveaway, a response to Blaqbonez and a diss to many rappers.in the track, Davolee called out Dremo and that got Dremo infuriated and he unleashed a lyrical terror on Davolee. Dremo went hard!!! 
 In 2020, Dremo dropped ' Codename Vol. 2' project which has been widely accepted by fans. It featured Davido, Naira Marley, Falz etc. 

5. Erigga 
Erihga Agarivbie popularly known as Erigga or Erigga Paperboi. From the creeks and ghettos of the South south region, Erigga has grown to be a big name in the music industry. He is known for his raw bars and pidgin English rap. Erigga dropped an album in 2019 'The Erigma' which was widely received by fans with so much love, they reflect in the streams- biggest rap album in Nigeria right now. It featured M.I Abaga, Ice prince, Magnito, Yung6ix etc. 
 He is number five on the list of hottest rappers in 2020. 

4. Blaqbonez 
Emeka Akumefuna who dubbed himself best rapper in Africa is also on the spotlight for the hottest rappers in 2020. From Hip Hop records to beef tracks, Blaqbonez has been lit. He dropped his Mr Boombastic E.P last year and it reached big numbers . 
Blaqbonez got into a feud with fellow rapper, Davolee when he declared that he was the best rapper in Africa. Davolee reacted with a tweet. 
 He dissed Davolee in VJ Adams' track Define Rap 2' which also featured Dremo and N2. Davolee responsded with 'Giveaway' on which he went on to diss almost every rapper that was popping at the moment. Dremo later had the honor of murking Davolee with two hard diss tracks. 
 Blaqbonez also got into a beef with Khaligraph Jones when Khaligraph won the Soundcity Hip Hop award 2019. Blaqbonez reacted that Soundcity got it wrong and maintained that he is still the best rapper in Africa. Khaligraph responded with a dies track 'Best Rapper in Nigeria', in 24 hours, Blaqbonez responded to Khaligraph with 'Green Blaq Green'. That was a great moment when people felt beef in Hip Hop in Nigeria. Till now, no beef yet. 
Blaqbonez is number four on the list of hottest rappers in Nigeria of 2020.

3. Vector 
Olarenwaju David popularly known as Vector or Vector tha Viper is one of the hottest in Nigeria right now. His beef with M.I Abaga was one of 2019 biggest topics. After M.I threw jabs at him and how he conducted Hennessey Cypher, Vector responded with diss songs - Tetracycling, The Purge ft. Payper Corleone and Vader, then M.I replied with The Viper which also sparked another reply from Vector , Judas The Rat. How Vector replied and addressed every point M.I tried to score in The Viper was very amazing. He went on to drop an E.P ' Vibes Before Teslim, A Journey To Self-Discovery '. It featured top artiste, Davido on a track 'Comfort' and more great Hip Hop songs. He is the number three hottest rapper in 2020.

2. A-Q
Gilbert Bani popularly known as A-Q had a great run on the Hip Hop scene in 2019 and is still having one in 2020. He was on Martell Cyphers in 2019 alongside M.I, Loose Kaynon and Blaqbonez. A-Q won the Headies Lyricist on the Roll award 2019. A-Q is known for his deep lyricism and intelligent punchlines. He dropped his album 'God's Engineering' and a joint E.P with M.I, 'The Live Report'. 
 He is number two on the hottest rappers in Nigeria in 2020. 

M.I Abaga 
Jude Abaga popularly known as M.I or M.I Abaga is no doubt one of Nigeria's best rappers of all time. He rose to prominence in 2008 after releasing Safe featuring Djinee. The song on which he sampled a couple of hits from that period blew up and made him a top artiste in the rap game. Fast forward to 2020, M.I dropped Judah E.P and also The Live Report, a joint E.P with top rapper A-Q. 
 M.I got involved in a beef with top rapper, Vector. After Vector dropped his diss tracks, M.I replied with The Viper, and it turned out to be the biggest rap song of 2019. (views and streams). M.I is no doubt the hottest rapper in Nigeria right now.
